A Morris Wedding

I think this must be one of my all time favourite wedding cakes.

Not only because I know the bride and groom but because it involved morris dance.

The cake itself was a 3 tier square stacked cake which consisted of a Madeira sponge, a Marble Chocolate and Vanilla Sponge and the top tier was Lemon (at the groom's request).


Simple burgundy gerberas on each tier but handmade topper was the most interesting.


The bride and groom were dressed in the morris kits, Windsor morris and Hexman Morrismen doing a double jig.

I also had the pleasure of attending their wedding - what a fabulous, relaxed day - traditional morris style.  Congratulations Nicky & Will.
